People watch and wave hands at us with amaze and glitter in their eyes watching informed kiters on designed.          T shirt and it's a message showcasing ' unity in flying" raising the profile of the fest. A great watch.

15th Borneo International Kite Festival 2019 25-30 Sept 2019

As usual we were invited to the 15th BIKF in Malaysia. Bintulu where it is being is always a dear to me and my team. This time my wife is with me as she she wanted to experience the fest which I always tells her with proud. Bintulu has come to special to many and vouch for its fest as well as the hospitality and reception.  Specially to name one and only Muammer. Added with Donita.....as I sing donita ho my darling..... with baby and excellent team making no stone unturned to create its success.

As usual, I had my workshop to the students from various schools and there come students of all age. We did a cow shaped kite with little drawing by participants enclosed as kite to fully charged to fly up aloft.

31 countries and close to 156 Kiters all across the globe is not a small game.

BIKF has emerged as the most sought after kite festival in this side of the world.

Test flight of my new kites at Kuzhuppilly beach, Kochi

As usual, I went to Kuzhuppilly beach and unfolded my kite bag. I was little apprehensive having seen the climatic condition as it rained a while ago in the city. But then I decided to go and to take a chance. Kiting for me is not just flying but many unknown to become friends. That is the beauty of kites it adds up the color in my life as well to the new friends. I am sure they carry lot of memories when leaving the beach. Such is the case today to Dr Neha and Dr Naveen who was present in the beach on their new outing to explore Kerala. They are newly married says Neha. Naveen and Neha both hail from Delhi. When I heard they are from Delhi I couldn't resist soon I got them interacted. Infact, when naveen saw me trying to spread my kite wings soon he joined me. He tried his hands as well. He is well verses about his passion in kites on kite fighting and cutting. Neha also talked about the thread (manjha) it used in kite fighting. She liked the box kite, she says. They really loved the kite flying both endorse. It added color and thrill to their outing, am sure. Neha went taking videos and shared it for my vlog. Thanks Neha.

See this is most beautiful part of the session. I always found in making friends. And kite connects me. Following to the new friend list is Abhilash, a kochi native, who is working with an advocate in high court also found kiting interesting. What it attracts you know...to the fact primarily being on an unconventional and innovative designs of the kite and friends who want to be could not stop come closer to see as well try their hand. So it will be an unexpected experience to them which every one will cherish. Viji and sunil/ Nandu took pictures of kite flying. Thanks buddies.

I am bit upset might have to return again to beach as I could not take my kites especially new kites including the pilot though it did some but nose dived due to unstable wind. Some time it's like that.

I have my school mates also joined me this time. Viji, Sunil and his son Nandu came along. It was extended my happiness. We were cherishing our old memories when we were kids back in mavoor. Those days we used to fly kites made out of newspapers.

We could not continue it as it went rain very heavily for some half an hour but then it was getting dark we packed the kites and returned.

I must be coming back again to test flight my new kites....before I fly to Malaysia on 23rd for Borneo International Kite Festival.

The TKF, a vlog is about to launch rechristened talks about Travel, Kite & Food as a youtube channel, shortly. The content developed and promoted will be supplemented in the vlog. It takes time to compile, collate and create...the work is going on. We will launch it shortly.

The kite is also a new friend. We spotted in the beach.

New Age School Campus K conducts KiteKraft

Kitekraft @ Campus school Chennai

Participants gathered around with their parents in the hall at Campus K,  a new age school situated at Sholinganallur.  CAMPUS K,  a new generation school that has students at their best. Parents are of the view that this new generation school is giving a personalised learning plan for every child. They have great caring and provides a happy environment. The kind of activities KLF did today was also part of such directions. KiteLife Foundation is very happy to have been part of this arena that gave students a newer experience and  scope for developing imagination, freedom of expression, art and talent which imbibed skill into building kites yet appear in a very unconventional model. Thanks for entrusting us.

Parents and kids all along tries their hands o fly kites on the ground at CampusK,  Sholinganallur. Wind at the initial stage was favoured but then it went down.

Very soon we are getting ready for the borneo intl kite festival in bintulu, sarawak malaysia. This time i am taking kite kits based on diy format to possibly give particpants  n interesting factor. The work on the making a kite become so simple with the kite kit..that has polyurethane based pre cut kite face,  tail,  prefixed double side tapes,  winder with the thread ..  .they just need to fill the color followed by fixing bamboo sticks to the marked area and bridle i t to fly it. . Students are so enthusiastic and habing seen our designs many know them already. Hundreds of students from lower and upper grade attent our workshop.....and you know i am loving it.

The traverse of World Kite this week.

Kiter Ferruh Bayasu had sent to me the latest picture that explains the current status of the popular World Kite.  World Kite is now flying in Bulgaria. World kite,  a lite ripstop white in color made named world kite is now in the hands of Kiter Ferruh which he recieved from India based kiter Rajesh Nair during the immeidate past IKF, Gujarat.
Ferruh is as a custodian can fly it anywhere he wish to travel to attend kite festivals. After he finishes his festivals fly he will hand it over to another kiter whom he randomly select. Every kiter is following the same terms and conditions untill it reaches the final destination at World Kite Museum. Founders Ron and Shwan of USA will be happy hearing the development and I think Ferruh is already in touch with them. Thanks ferruh for updating us. Enjoy your fly buddy.
