The big bubble flow show was a part of the event at Pondy Marina.

The Kite Flying Festival is a spectacular sight in the blue skyline that has become a charm for both tourists and locals alike. It is a two-day event held at the beach festival in Pondicherry. It was also a reminder to many when did they fly their first kite or a kite that one can remember flying a kite as a child. Everyone, regardless of age, came together to see a lovely kite fly. A group of medical students flew the kite with their mates.

Some of them admitted to never having flown a kite as a child. Others took turns celebrating by passing over what they had flown to their spectator buddies.

Meanwhile, a member of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly stood contentedly staring up at a kite that he had flown. His smile was an answer how did he enjoy flying a kite.

Those who accompanied him were instructed to photograph him.

This apart, Minister of Puducherry also visited our festival site and gazed at the kites flown with hundreds of people flying on the ground and enjoys with happiness.

Students from Kerala studying in the BSc stream came from JIPMAR after hearing about the programme. Vishnu, Shaleena, Ashwati, Rabeeh, and Ima were all quite active during the celebration, and we are grateful for their help. Also came fb friend Ratheesh Narayanan, who stays in pondy; meeting him at the first time. He tried his hand on kites. Also folks from like Manoj and friends from Mahe in the late hours of  kite flying, greetings showered.

Larger kites took to the air. Wow. It's the same with giant and long kites. For some of the folks who got close and expressed themselves, it was a new experience. Some people recall the Puducherry Kite Festivals held in Uppalam, in 2014 and 2015.

" I know you," a 13-year-old boy named Chandru says, renewing his acquaintance.

You bought ice cream for me and my friend. My name is Chandrasekhar... ah, I see...i know remember you now...how are you doing? Ama sir, am fine he then joined us in flying a kite sometime later his friends also joined and they got a free sled kite what i gave to chandru as he said sir "am giving this to him ok! Yeah ok" Thats part of friendship in kite that spread to a bonding. As the phrase goes, there is no better tool than a kite to bring people together or keep them together. And, of course, there's the bonding.

Ravi Negi, who is from Gujarat and works for ONGC, came to fly kites with us along with his wife and daughter Nupur. They shared their recollections and told many happy anecdotes about kite flying, competitions, manjha, and other topics.

It's a way of life. The kiting chords, on the other hand, are cotton polyester cavelier, we use. That alone will aid in the flight of the massive kite we fly.

Soumya and I were excited at the prospect of making new acquaintances. When they said their goodbyes, they returned to surprise us by handing over two ice cream packages. "This is yours have it pls", a gesture of love. kite is a gift to commemorate the start of a good friendship and to maintain that bond indefinitely.

Also were Shreya Nair and her sister ( daughters of Rajeev Nair) both hail from Pondy along with their cousin from Delhi spending time with us to (ram-air inflatbles) fly kites. Three some really enjoyed lifting heavy kites like theyyam ( and moderate kite like box ( stick based) and long monster kites( flat bow type).

Delta kites ( stick / carbon rods based bow type) with long tales was another attraction for few thrilled to fly when delta shiva ( stick based / bow type ) handled by another kid from Pondy only. Along with kodimaran ( stick. based long tail type bow) long tailed kite flown by few others, finding again excited.

Shahrukh and Sreedevi came to beach just to strowl. Long site of a kite flying attracted him and he told Sreedevi whether to fly a kite or not. Sreedevi was hesitant and find bit shy but her friend persuaded and finally she tried her ever first kite that too never expected to fly a giant kite. She sooner, came in terms with the kite ( Nettipattam, stick based and bow type ) and enjoyed, she tells in the end. Shahrukh too enjoyed flying.

Before leaving Shahrukh took a selfi with us., a nice gesture which we loved as kiters as happy on what kite is making a friendship.  Take care bro, speedy recovery. Take care of your hand. πŸ‘πŸ». Continue flying Sreedevi. πŸͺ

Nettipattam kite, replicates the caprison/embellishment on temple elephant.
Kodimaram kite getting ready and new friend Mukil with his friend supports.

Abhijit Chaudhari and his family are also excellent new acquaintances. His daughter was just as enthralled as he was and his wife took photographs and videos for them all along just after hervtryst in kiting. They devoted nearly all of their efforts to the evening fly as well as the large bubbles show ( specially made unique soap solution).

It is true that people have access to a platform that provides solutions for healthy mental relaxation, regardless of age. It reminds me of a lot of people. I vouch it as I know myself what kite gave me.

Everyone was inspired by the hundreds of free kite kits ( Ron Sled ) supplied. The kites flown effortlessly in lite wind but in turbulance better not to fly as it will damage. The beaches of Pondy are getting increasingly enjoyable.

Sled as in Free Kite Kit flown by 100+1 public participant.

When Rajdeep was vlogging in the field, we met him and his better half. They are from Delhi. They also had a good time at Kite Fest. But we got to talking when they came readily to lend a hand on Theyyam's twisted (quite common) thread. We were attempting to raise Theyyam up when we noticed the entangled thread. When there is less room and a road is involved, individuals strolling may become agitated, yet no one is harmed. Someone saying "pattam vanthu mele pottana illya" "athu thaan panre sir...". caused such an occurrence. However, the guy who came to tear the thread of my kite unsuccessful and had no time to leave.

I did not say anything. Rajdeep asks if I think he'll be able to break it apart, and I tell him no. The guy confronted was inebriated state and was walking with his children and wife, who was holding another child. And he sounded like he was only trying to be confrontational. To avoid the annoyance, a member of the crowd called out to the cops.

Guys, I just wanted to reassure here you that as a kiter, or any professional kiter for that matter, we sincerely and always take care of our kite and it is our art work, and go to great lengths to protect it. In terms of kiter or kite safety, we never want to be a nuisance to the public because our kites are always a skyline entertainment to the public.

Safety in kiting is higly focused as well as entertainment for us.

This is the reason we ask for a large wide ground with fence in the boundry to restrict people for a nicely confucted kite festival and people enjoyed it. Kites falling down is a common thing when no wind, atleast it will ground only in the allocated place and not trouble the audience.

Pondy attracts visitors from all across the country. The kite flying (different type of kite build attractive bold vibrant colors of kites that are made by us custom-made ) and the Pondicherry Beach Festival were a play on the city's catchphrase, 'Let's Give a Break.'

We would like to express our gratitude to the government in particular and the officials in special.❤πŸͺπŸ•ΊπŸΌπŸ

Few media scorings.

This apart, few regional satellite channels which broadcast the festival news that gave a fillip to over all festival.❤ See you soon all. We ❤Pondy.

Why not to fly a kite from a building

Kite flying, though an interesting activity to many. Irrespective of gender and age people flock in to fly their kites in the nearby location during festive season. It is a part of celebration or else to celebrate kite flying by itself.

Kite flying requires a ground where a seemless wind is imperative. In the sense a kite should'nt get obstructed by any big buildings or any trees. Kite is a wind game and irresistable flying game. A stable wind takes the kite fly effortlessly. It gives much happier moment to the flyer. And brings smile to his or her face.

Generally, in big cities where you would not find any ground, except the fact of such  is occupied by any stadium that in all probability to offer other games like football or to the extend cricket, doesnt allow general kite flying. Therefore, the kiters end up utilising what's accessible nearby to them is the high rise buildings other than agri fields.

The happiest moment should'nt be the way you forget yourself. Unlike, the ground where you have a more ground stay probability, hgh rise building do not give such scope. You immerse in kiteflying and often come close to the edge of the wall and slip to fell down from the building in thrill.

I do not support it or endorse using your ground of kite flying in high rise buildings. Your life is precious and you should not invite troubles by flying a kite. This will not only develop an image of accident but create a negative and ill feeling amongst people who are not kiters that kite flying is a dangerous game. No body bother how professional you are.

Before summing up, let me tell you that I have not spoken about the kites which we fly ( giant kites are not feasible or ideally fit in to fly in from the top of buildings, never ever  recommend ) but the kites which are used for fighting and use of manjha which cause a damage otherwise.

Always use cotton threads for small kites .

26th Jan, 2022 Republic Day of India Kite Flying

Walk with a kite.πŸͺπŸ•ΊπŸΌ

India is marking the 75th anniversary of its independence and the 73rd anniversary of the enactment of its constitution.

In essence, we thought of commemorate it by flying a kite, but on a tricolour, aloft and carrying it on a walk. ‘Walk with a Kite’ is a play about a kite.

We chose a walkway created off the road of Navodaya Studios in Thengodu, Kakkanad, that leads to the.....

....Mannookaav Temple. People congregate in the morning and evening, and it’s a welcome relief to sit and enjoy the view of a large farm field.

Thanks for reading it.

Few more field kite flying pics.
