Kite Festival in Kenya 15 March 2015

Now am in Nairobi while writing this blog. Its first time am in this continent Africa. East Africa has cultural heritage. Many indian i fiund they migrated n four generation. Its nice t meet them but above my friends in Kenya they are the best and enjoyed meeting them and flying my kites for them. The cultural formation i like and cusine i had was delicious. Roads in kenya gave me feeling that am in India traffic seemed equally jammed like in India.Buses ply almost are private owned and they goes with their own selection.I seen buses has numbers like in delhi mumbai like. Kenya has also have good wooden furnitures they make and sell. It looks realy good and worksmanship with artistic skill is exceedingly great. Its in their genes i think. I have good soveniers i bought for my memmory like masai culture showing tribal ancestory. Kite flying gaining popularity in Kenya lot of people gathered from far and wide. This indians. the day seen turbulant wind some of kites damaged now its an herculian task to fix it. However i managed to fly my kites abd entertain the audiebce its the first time any body frm India getting an opportunity to come to this part of Africa.i loved it any how. The concept i liked the way it ooerated its wholesum occassion for people to gather around like a picnic. Children flying kites in one side with stall for craft work everbody enjoy. Sumptous delicacies in other stalls added flaviur of music abd deejay with MC moving around taking bites in rhe vast and sprawling Nairobi Polo Club ground, i like it immensly and aporeciate tge work they do no doubt it has lot potential. Thnks for all the support and hospitality. Here are some of the pictures

Belguam Indian Kite Festival Jan 2015

The next destination on kite tour was BIKF where am participating for the first time BIKF has lured many foriegn kiters this time. Many of them are new few turned out old as well. As the fourth edn i guess they have grown but as a kiter my experience was good in the ground. Wind speed though fulctuated did give some gud running task which i liked. Theyyam kite roaring in the turbulant wind and it crashed on the ground i had to fix it before my next festival. When i did not have wind i played with Aerobi a wala version that lured my interest to remain in the ground. Food was good served in the dining tent and i enjoyed it bit non veg!!!.. Kiters or Kiter when they join it give lot of oppportunity to interact especially it gves lot of understanding of cultural exchange. As an organiser they did not pay heed to some of the nuances were found missing as certain discrimination taken place lke they put indian and foriegn fliers seperate. And the stay accomdation was considerably not good at par or the standards of other festivals in India. May be this is the reason many kiters including foriegn are not keen to come forward to BIKF. BIKF have to see littre more cautious about putting worthiness to a fine tuned festival. They have to take not of every espects of kiter and their comfortabilty. The disadvantage of belgavi is they do not beach. Ths we can ignore sometimes if we get good and stable wind. Some of our friends from Kolkata i found they were hard working majing final touches to their creations in late night in the room which was realy applaudable. Best thing they have added was Goa to the festival map. That was fliers day auwsum. All the kites went up and kiters had their whole two days. But again afternoon we had good stable wind. Goa yesb i would prefer to come again. No doubt.
