National Kite Festival 27-28 Dec 2014

National Kite Festival is an initiative of Kollam Kite Club, an affliated kite hobby club of KiteLife Foundation India. The event was held in the serene golden beach of Kollam, a district in the southern part of Kerala which is popularly known for Cashew growing cultivatation processing and export oriented business and thus driving economic generation to the state. The event goes with the theme of National Integrity and brotherhood therefore the states which sends their youth from varied regions include Punjab, Chatisgarh, Jarkhand, Haryana, Tanil Nadu , Kolkata, Gujarat and Kerala covering almost 200 young ambassodors to spread the message with variety of activities and that culminated in KiteFlying at Kollam Beach. Professional kitists team Bangalore ( Kite Doddabalpur) and Kochi ( Team Kerala GOC & Kitefully Yours) came from Karnataka, Kerala added the colour in the skyline exhibiting king size kites on various features depicting the cultural motifs exploring to showcase the heritage of India. Kites which are exhibited and flown by Teams include train kites more over 200 kites in one thread was a part of spectacular kite show with Theyyam Kite Giant Octupus, Shark, Fish train, Dragon etc held in the scenic of Kollam Beach. Minister for Labour Govt of Kerala Shri Shibu Baby John inaugurated the event along with Mayor Ms. Honey Benjamin and other councilors. Shri Vadakkevila Sashi presided the function. KiteLife Foundation head Shri Rajesh Nair led the festivals and programmes.Momentos were given to the participating teams by Program Chairman.

The fact that I'm about to travel and take part in Bintulu, Sarawak's world-famous kite festival for the 7-8th time since 2012, has not surprised me in the least. Bintulu is my favorite city because of how welcoming its friends are and how its appearance has developed over time. Though the premium in participation, kite flying is adorable and overwhelming when the kites we carried soar in the skyline. "To serve as a justification, I would accept bail. My phone's capacity was severely limited, but I managed to save some of the pictures you see here. Not many could be photographed." International Kite Festival of Ahmedabad - post covid 2023 . The 32nd edition of the Ahmedabad International Kite Festival, which took place this year, was more comprehensive with new personnel handling a few sectors.  Kiters who had been chosen after a selection of nations to include as many as possible also observed new players entering the market. Those include Bahrain and the GCC. What was un-impressive was how they displayed their kites and gave viewers a sense of how to fly or construct a kite. However, it is sufficient for Gujarat Tourism to demonstrate that the majority of participating nations! I would refer to the organisers of the world's most charitable kite festival as such, and I have no doubt that other kite fliers will agree. 8th October OneSky OneWorld@Kochi activities - Kuzhuppilly Beach

Hi We have conducted a day with kite on the occassion of world Kite Day. Some pictures for your reference. Today at Kuzhuppilly Beach in Kochi, the KiteLife Foundation held OneSky OneWorld. This time, we had a kite in green that had been signed by kiters from all over the world in front of an event that had recently taken place in Bintulu.
