I was in ahmdabad for the kite festival in its 31st edition. Organized by TCGL, the tourism body of Govt of Gujarat, there were 40 countries and 20 states came united to present their kites exhibited in flying and performances. Like every year the groups formed already towards covering various destination promotion program and event. I, this time too had my mind prepared for Ahmdabad as to let myself enjoy the city and fly my kites on the ground. Sabarmati river front as it is fondly called had close to 50 odd kiters from day one it began. Leaving the hotel at about 9 in the morning and return by 4.30 pm. A routine continued until 11th and 12th Jan, we had a travel plan to Mehsana, 70 km away from Ahmedabad. Kiters always wanted gopd wind not turbulance or rotating wind and Ahmdabad falls with such in many conditions. The wind we had last year 2019, the kites brought by every kiters have flown and with this instances, i had some miscalculations but failed to get wind this year. I took only inflatables this year. I realise the fact and now decided to carry my stick based kites as well in the future.

New to the list were lithuania zimbabwe, malasyia, france, italy, indonesia, mexico , german, south korea etc. All we had was a good time together dining, flying and ofcourse exchanging notes of interest on kites, kites, kites or what not.
Other the countries menrioned above there were old faces like canada, malaysia, italy, belgium, russia, poland added more friendly days. My guru in bubbles fred and donna with whom i had performed bubble blizzard was of a great time and splendid before the crowd who loved the giant bubles coming to them.kids were gung ho. The spirit talked all and adults too tried their hand.
