Traditional Kite Art and
flying competetion
Kawthur and her team has really taken a pain to conduct such a wonderful activity. The particpants, primarily the youth had chosen a right time to come with their ideas based on the objectives set in by the organising team. The art work, the particpants had done is a point of promoting the culture and heritage of Tunisia, a very primary aspect to raise the profile thru a unique idea none other than kites. This is also an opportunity for the participants to understand the perview of accompished judges Donna Taylor - Canada, Al Jassar- Kuwait,Thomas Adbilla - Malta, Surraiyya - Zimbabwe and Rajesh Nair - India, towards their art works and to also improve their wisdom. Well done team. We are happy to have been associated with such eventful experience thru wonders possible utlising virtual possiblities. Congrats to all present in this experience. See u soon flying kites.!!!
Tunisia, a small a east african country, relatively not very known to a kite flying until few years ago. But today Tunisia has handfull of kitist with their presence participating in various kite festival that include our home grown kite festival Ahmedbad for some years.
Tunisian kiters, if I could correctly remember, started showing their face in the kite field with one kiter, whose name i don't remember right now but know a guy from Tunisia whom I met in the stall in the year 2017. But then the team from lady kite flyers came in. Amongst them is Kawthur, a very affervascnet, go-getter and passionate kiter, we found in Kawthur has taken the plunge and led to another stream of activities and that has made her stand in the country resorting her dream, a youth kite academy.
