Participants enjoyed a kite building session at Sattva, a cultural centre owned by Supriya Mithra, on April 30th,2022.
Making kites was an important element of their summer camp. Children have been participating for many years, and newcomers to the camp appear to be quite enthusiastic about the activities, Sattva organises.
According to the KiteLife Foundation, this is the fifth time their association with Sattva. During pandemic too there was an online session. This time, because it's offline, a group of kids is working on a diamond kite and also in addition flying a para sled that can be used to fly on the beach.
We chose Kuzhuppilly Beach as usual, and everyone had a great time flying their kites, made. A single line bridle was used on their kite that they created during the session. Few pics speak. Lol ❤π
The beach wind is found to be a little strong, so the sled kite, their second kite in the session in which the kids were instructed to fly was a little difficult task. The kites they made, diamond flown effortlessly.
However, few were able to master the nuance and trick of flying this stick-less kite for the first time in their lives, they claim all along and they recounted how much fun they had and how grateful they were for the opportunity to share and care with happiness and imagination.

Watch youtube video as well.
On the beach, bubbles were also a feature of the event, but the wind was often destructive due to its speed. On site, the kids were engrossed in catching bubbles. Kids were given bubble wands and encouraged to try their hand at it, leaving soap in their hands when they touched the wand thread. Supriya’s eyes travelled throughout the area, actively joining and motivating the children. Parents too have got along with the group and stood supportive. They too have enjoyed it flying kites.
A tour of the beach post kitekraft at Sattva was led by a mini.bus packed of participants.
The KiteLife Foundation wishes everyone a good year ahead.❤
