KiteLife Foundation Team wins accolades and prizes in the World Kite Championship held in China.
India's entry to the 13 th World Kite Championship held in Wanshan District, Tongren, China held between 23-26 March 2017 has seen Kochi based KiteLife Foundation, represented by popular kiter Rajesh Nair and his team. Themed figurine kite, Theyyam and Nettipattam has won awards in the various kite competetions.
According to the optimal overall competetions amongst the international kiters in the group of Characteristic Competetions out of 31 kite, India was awarded best in the catagory. This apart, another two catagories i.e the Excellent Traditional kite competetion along with 7 kites represented by different countries and Innovationive Kite catagory along with 10 different kites represented by countries, KLF from India stood by it's prominence and awarded the best.
The prize components consists of a Troffy, Plaque and Certificates.
The 13th World Kite Championship was sponsored by Social Sport Guidance Centre of course General Admission of Sport of China, Chinease Kite Association, International Kite Federation, Guizhou Provincial Board of Sports, Tongren Municipal People's Government and Organised by Wanshan District Committee of the CPC, Wanshan District People's Government, Tongren Municipal Commission of Tourism Development and Tongren Municipal Bureau of Sports.
